Music Monday... Round II

I know that this isn't an 80's song, but, I LOVE it anyhow, so I'm posting. (nice run-on sentence, Amy.)

Oh, oo-o-oh, come on, ooh yeah
Well I tried to tell you so (yes, I did)
But I guess you didn't know
As I said the story goes
Baby, now I got the flow
'Cos I knew it from the start
Baby, when you broke my heart
That I had to come again
And show you that I'm real
(You lied to me) all those times I said that I love you
(You lied to me) yes, I tried, yes, I tried
(You lied to me) even though you know I'd die for you
(You lied to me) yes, I cried, yes, I cried

(Return of the Mack) it is
(Return of the Mack) come on
(Return of the Mack) oh my God
(You know that I'll be back) here I am
(Return of the Mack) once again
(Return of the Mack) pump up the world
(Return of the Mack) watch my flow
(You know that I'll be back) here I go

So I'm back up in the game
Running things to keep my swing
Letting all the people know
That I'm back to run the show
'Cos what you did, you know, was wrong
And all the nasty things you've done
So, baby, listen carefully
While I sing my come-back song

(You lied to me) she said she'd never turn on me
(You lied to me) but you did, but you do
(You lied to me) all this pain you said I'd never feel
(You lied to me) but I do, but I do, do, do

(Return of the Mack) here it is
(Return of the Mack) hold on
(Return of the Mack) don't you know
(You know that I'll be back) here I go
(Return of the Mack) oh little girl
(Return of the Mack) wants my pearl
(Return of the Mack) up and down
(You know that I'll be back) round and round

(You lied to me) she said she'd never turn on me
(You lied to me) but you did, but you do
(You lied to me) all this pains you said I'd never feel
(You lied to me) but I do, but I do, do, do

(Return of the Mack) it is
(Return of the Mack) come on
(Return of the Mack) oh my God
(You know that I'll be back) here I am
(Return of the Mack) once again
(Return of the Mack) pump up the world
(Return of the Mack) watch my flow
(You know that I'll be back) don't you know
(Return of the Mack) it is
(Return of the Mack) hold on
(Return of the Mack) be strong
(You know that I'll be back) here I go
(Return of the Mack) my little baby
(Return of the Mack) wants my pearl
(Return of the Mack) up and down
(You know that I'll be back) round and round
(Return of the Mack)yes it is
(Return of the Mack)yes it is
(Return of the Mack)yes it is
(You know that I'll be back)
(Return of the Mack)yes it is
(Return of the Mack)yes it is
(Return of the Mack)yes it is

There isn't a video for this song (that I could find) so if you want to hear this song I would recommend not looking at the photo montage and just listening. There are some pretty funky pics... Might I add that Mark Morrison needs some pretty serious dental work????? Yikes...

Music Monday

OK. WEA-RA is coming up and the friends that I'm going with and I have decided to make it an 80's theme. So, in tribute to the 80's my Music Monday posts are going to be of 80's flavor...

Lunatic fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
We can hear you coming
We know what you're after
We're wise to you this time
We won't let you kill the laughter.

Lunatic fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
We know you've got to blame someone
For your own confusion
But we're on guard this time
Against your final solution
We can hear you coming(We can hear you coming)
No you're not going to win this time
We can hear the footsteps(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway

Lunatic fringe
We know you're out there
But in these new dark ages
There will still be light
An eye for an eye;
Well before you go under...
Can you feel the resistance?
Can you feel the thunder?

Because I've Been Really Busy... Really, I Have

I know. It's been AGES since I've posted. I've been SO busy. My student teacher so rudely went to teach with my teaching partner because she has to like teach more subjects than just science, social studies and writing... Sheesh. The rudeness...

I also had to get ready for a really fun clam digging trip at the ocean with another family of very good friends. The low tide was a late afternoon one so we actually got to dig in the middle of the day. Yahoo! No worrying about finding the trail head in the dunes in the dark! We all limited quickly and headed back to the camp to clean our clams. We had 75 to clean but with all of us working at it, we got it done in just under three hours.

After cleaning up from that trip, I had to get the camper readied for the annual Beers and Boards trip. This year, we started at Snoqualmie Pass and left on Sunday for Boise. This year is a little different because we are using the camper. This, so far, has been quite good. There have been some scary times, like going up the 16 mile road to Bogus Basin Ski Resort and also heading to McCall in the dark.

We got to visit with Suzy and Brad and also got to meet their new son. Such a cute little baby. All smiles and coos even after getting shots on Monday! It was so good to be able to see Suzy and Brad as parents!

So, now, here I sit, at the top of Schweitzer Mt. Resort. Ed has spent the entire day skiing. I haven't gotten ANY school work done. I have only read 3 books. Being in the camper has sure changed how much I get done, but, it's also made things MUCH more comfortable!

So anyhow, Internets... I'm back and hoping to post on a more regular basis now!

Because I Need More Cow Bell Today

Today's post is brought to you because today I am in need of "cow bell".

So, I'm on my way to work today and I hear this song. Today is the day I needed the cowbell...

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..
we can be like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...
Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity...
Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...
Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...
Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday...
We can be like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...
don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...
don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...
Love of two is one
Here but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew then he appeared...
saying don't be afraid
Come on baby...
and she had no fear
And she ran to him...
then they started to fly
They looked backward and said goodby...
she had become like they are
She had taken his hand...
she had become like they are
Come on baby...
don't fear the reaper

HASAY Week Disappointment

So, this week I really worked hard at my goals. I went to the gym four times this week and lifted weights. I walked EVERY DAY at lunch. (I know, can you believe it???) I journaled my food every day and did not go over my points allotment. (I did use the extra 35 because I kind of overindulged on Saturday and Sunday).

When I weighed in at Weight Watchers on Saturday, I GAINED 1.8 POUNDS.

WTF???????

I can't believe it. I don't know what else to do. Tina said that I should take my measurements. I'm going to do this. The only problem is that my clothes aren't feeling looser.

It seems like the MORE I exercise, the more I gain.

Such disappointment...

Tuesday Tune-age

Since I was WAY too busy yesterday, Music Monday didn't happen. But, guess what? Thank goodness for Tuesday Tune-age!

This song reminds me of middle school. I was a HUGE fan. Not of the new stuff, but, of the old stuff! No "Sugar on Me" for me...

Lady luck never smiles
So lend your love to me, awhile
Do with me what you will
Break the spell take your fill
On and on we rode the storm
The flame has died, the fire has gone
Oh, this empty bed is a night alone
I realized that long ago
Is anybody out there?
Anybody there?
Does anybody wonder?
Anybody care?
Oh, I just gotta know
If you're really there and you really care
'Cause baby I'm not F-F-F-Foolin',
Ah F-F-Foolin'
F-F-F-Foolin',
Ah F-F-Foolin'
Won't you stay with me awhile
Oh Oh
Close your eyes don't run and hide
Easy love is no easy ride
Just wakin' up from what we had
Could stop good love from going bad
Is anybody out there?
Anybody there?
Does anybody wonder?
Anybody care?
Oh, I just gotta know
If you're really there and you really care
'Cause baby I'm not F-F-F-Foolin',
Ah F-F-Foolin'
F-F-F-Foolin',
Ah F-F-Foolin'
No!Ah ah ah oh
Oh, I just gotta know
If you're really there and you really care
'Cause baby I'm not F-F-F-Foolin',
Ah F-F-Foolin' F-F-F-Foolin',
Ah F-F-Foolin'
Ah no!
I'm not foolin' myself
No no no!
I'm not foolin' myself
Ah no no!
I'm not foolin' myself
Ah no no!
I'm not foolin'
No!
