Tuesday Tunage

I know it's been a REALLY long time since I've posted. I've been so busy that I barely know whether I'm coming or going. What have I been up to you ask? A bulleted list for your reading pleasure:
  • Mexico trip
  • Canada trip (2 days after we got home from Mexico, but, more on that later.)
  • new gutters on the house (WE put them on.)
  • grade level chair person
  • photography zero hour
  • union rep
  • RTI book club
  • planning the Halloween costume
  • trying to reclaim my house and laundry after two back to back vacations
  • grading every assessment known to man

There is more, but I seriously don't want to bore you to death. I'm already bored to death and I did all of those things. Sigh. But, one fun thing I did last weekend was go to a radio station listener party. The local rock station morning show had a "hooray we've been on the air for 10 years" party at the Snoqualmie Casino. Our friend Jason wanted everyone to get together and meet up there so we all did. It was actually more fun than I thought it would be. I'm not a big fan of this particular morning show, although I do listen occasionally. The whole group was there signing autographs and such. Ed kept trying to get me to let one of them sign my "rack" but, I'm really not that kind of girl. I don't like any of them enough to let them partially see the girls let alone get close enough to write on them with Sharpie.

They had the lead singers of two local bands, Windowpane and Counterfist, play a few songs acoustically. I must say, I have a new favorite band in Counterfist. They sound a little like Tool and I just really have mad respect for anyone who can sing "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter, acoustically. Yeah. He did this. AH-MAY-ZING. So anyhow, here's a REALLY bad YouTube video of them playing somewhere in Seattle. And, it's not even the song that I'm posting today. I couldn't find them singing it anywhere.

Sound Wreck

I started with you in mind your image your voice your words my nerve comes apart as I write and the absence is hardly enough this dream is cold and vain the cause of all this pain and starting to decay my love is this one as unique as the beast that I try to describe is this reproduction only if it comes from inside this dream is cold and vain the cause of all this pain and starting to decay my love I started with truth in mind the negative always came through starving this chance to rewind and convey to you this dream is cold and vain the cause of all this pain starting to decay my love

George of Counterfist is on the left. He looks very much like our friend Joe.

Counterfist is playing at the Showbox Sodo with Floater on Halloween. If you can, I'd recommend going to see them.
